Senior Pastor, Headmaster
Dr. C. E. “Jack” Jackson, III was called to be Senior Pastor of First Baptist Church of Lenoir City in March of 2001. Prior to coming to the Volunteer State, he served several churches in his home state of Georgia. Pastor Jack received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Mercer University in Atlanta, Georgia, where he double majored in Religion and Philosophy. He received his Master of Divinity degree from Princeton Theological Seminary in Princeton, New Jersey with a concentration in Church History. He received his Doctor of Ministry degree from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky, with an emphasis in Evangelism and Church Growth. He has also served in numerous denominational positions of leadership, including Associational, State Convention, and Southern Baptist Convention agencies. Pastor Jack and his wife, Vickie, have three children: Andie, Caleb, and Micah.
Chief Financial Officer
Melinda McGill currently holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education from the University of Tennessee. She currently has an active Tennessee teaching license, K-6. Melinda lives in Lenoir City with her husband, Brad, and their 2 year old son, Samuel. She has been with LCCA since 2010. Melinda is a member of Calvary Baptist Church where she and her husband leads the Youth Ministry. She also helps with Calvary’s nursery program. Melinda also volunteers at First Baptist Church’s VBS and Worship Camp. She enjoys traveling, photography, movies, and spending time with family and friends.
Ms. Le Sueur is a highly experienced administrator that has grown the Academy into the excellent program that it is today. She has faithfully and skillfully served the Academy as director for the last 14 years and continues to provide meticulous, Christ-like service every day. Ms. Le Sueur has a Bachelor of Science in Education from Tennessee Tech University in Cookeville. She has over 30 years of experience in education. Ms. Le Sueur has a diverse background in education. She worked several years in the inner city. She was a teacher in the public schools, and she also worked for Head Start. As a Director, she worked at Fifth Avenue Baptist Church. Ms. Le Sueur has also worked as Director and Assistant Director in several large churches in Knoxville.
Carrie graduated from Middle Tennessee State University in 2006 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. Her work history includes both banking and insurance. In 2015, she joined the LCCA team where she currently works as the Bookkeeper. She and her husband, Dan, were both born and raised in Lenoir City, Tennessee. They have two children, Noah and Halle. She and her family are members of First Baptist Church, Lenoir City, where they enjoy attending and serving in multiple ministries. The opportunity to serve through her home church at the Academy is truly a blessing to her and her family.
Weekday Programs Assistant Director
Jennifer graduated from Hiwassee College in 1992, and held an administrative position at a local bank for 7 years. Jennifer operated her own child care business for 6 years, before accepting the director’s position at Christian Church of Loudon County in 2006. Jennifer came to LCCA in 2009 as a pre-k teacher, and accepted the position of assistant director of our preschool in 2010. Jennifer has been married to her husband, Jody, since 1997. Together they have a son and a daughter. Jennifer has been a member of First Baptist Church since 1997. She and her husband are very active members who serve in the children’s and student ministries. Jennifer and Jody stay busy with their children’s many school and church activities. Jennifer loves being at LCCA and working with the children.
Michelle Sledge graduated from Tennessee Tech University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education. She has been married for 21 years to Hank. They have three sons: Gideon, 18; Holden, 15; and Eli, 12. In addition, they have 2 dogs, Baxter and Gus. Michelle has been a member of First Baptist Church Lenoir City for 12 years, and she teaches 11th grade Sunday School, leads Children’s Worship for 10 years, and is active in the worship ministry singing in the choir. Michelle enjoys the beach, crafts, decorating and home DIY projects, reading and spending time with family. Michelle has been with LCCA since it started in 2010.
First Grade Teacher
She is a certified elementary teacher, with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Master’s degree in Elementary Education. Jennifer was a substitute teacher for Lenoir City schools and Loudon County schools for five years. She completed her Student Teaching at Lenoir City Elementary School in first and third grade. She spent one year as a Pre-k interim teacher at LCES. Jennifer has been married to her husband, Chris, for fifteen years. They have two children, Carrie (11), and Richie (8). She loves working at LCCA!
Second and Third Grade Teacher
Beth Longworth graduated from Tennessee Tech University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education. She currently has an active Tennessee teaching license for grades K-6. She and her husband, Mark, live in Philadelphia with their 2 dogs, Bear and Diesel. Beth is a member of First Baptist Church, Philadelphia and she also helps with the church’s nursery program. She has been with LCCA since 2008, where she started by working in the summer program with preschool, daycare, and school-age children. She has been a teacher with the Elementary for 3 years.
Fourth, Fifth and Sixth Grade Teacher
Kim attended Carson-Newman University and graduated with a Bachelor’s of Arts in psychology and religion. She has taught in the Christian school setting for about seven years and worked as a Christian Education Director for ten years. She went back to school to obtain a degree in Education and graduated from Grand Canyon University with a Masters in Elementary Education in 2012.
Kim and her husband have lived in Tennessee for 11 years and they have four children, Jared and Jessica, Morgan and Kaleb. They also have a wonderful, beloved dog, Sweet Pea.
Fourth, Fifth and Sixth Grade Teacher
Mrs. Cline attended South College in Knoxville, Tennessee, where she earned three degrees in Education. The first, a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education, qualified her to teach K-6th grades. Next, she completed a Master of Education degree in Teacher as Instructional Leader, and most recently, an Educational Specialist degree. For both, her masters and educational specialist degrees, she spent a year studying research-based, instructional strategies for Reading and Language Arts, and for her master’s degree, completed a year- long research project on how to raise achievement in Reading Comprehension across a grade-level. For Mrs. Cline’s educational specialist degree, she studied a lot of the same, but focused more of her research toward assessment, data, and leadership. When time allows, her next educational goal is to get her Doctorate’s degree. Mrs. Cline is a devout Christian and feels very blessed to teach in an environment that encourages her to share her faith with students. She is actively involved in her church, where she also teaches regularly. Recently, she taught a creative Bible journaling class for the women’s ministry, and also teaches pre-school on a regular basis. Mrs. Cline is married, and in 2013, had a little boy (Colton) after raising her four other children, now in their twenties. In 2014, she became “Gigi” to her first grandchild (Anna) and likes to joke that God really does have a sense of humor! In her spare time she enjoys paper crafting, cooking, reading, church activities, and most of all, spending time with family and friends.
Academy Teacher Assistant
Crystal came to work at LCCA in 2014 as our elementary teacher assistant. Crystal brought with her six years of experience from working with the teachers and staff at another private Christian school.
She has been married to her husband for 17 years and has one son Christopher. They are members of First Baptist Church, Lenoir City, where Crystal teaches the two year old Sunday school class. She also volunteers with the First Baptist Vacation Bible School.
She loves the beach, anything to do with the outdoors, crafts, painting, animals and just spending time helping the children of LCCA.
